During our first term and home assignment, we have often been asked for tangible ways that folks from the States can be a part of our everyday lives. Our greatest need is prayer, but many have asked for something more concrete than that. So, we offer this page of ideas.

Care Packages

Packages are so much fun for us, and some of you have really enjoyed doing this for us during our first term. There are many things that we cannot get in Ukraine, and while we can certainly live without them... they are precious commodities that we truly enjoy.

What Can You Send?

Foods: Peanut Butter; Chocolate Chips; Baking Powder; brown sugar; saltine crackers; cheerios; KRAFT Macaroni & cheese; baking chocolate; marshmallows; baking mixes; taco seasoning; beef boullion; maple flavoring; real vanilla; dry soups & dressing mixes; parmesan cheese... just to name a few!

For the kids: socks & underwear; art & craft supplies of EVERY kind; coloring books; play-doh (this brand, please); gently used clothing.

Other items: sunflower seeds, sports recorded from TV (NFL & NBA - any teams); ziploc bags; magazines (BH&G, Cottage Living, etc); Starbucks Whole Bean Coffee - caffe verona; Sermons on MP3; Worship Music.

How Can You Send It?

International Air Mail
Small, lightweight items can be sent safely via international air mail in padded envelopes. Nothing of great value should be sent this way, but we have received many items safely.

MEEST, Inc.
This is a very reputable shipping service which delivers packages directly to our door. This is a great option for larger packages where folks share the cost of shipping. Prices: By Sea: $15 delivery fee + $0.99 per lb. By Air: $25 delivery fee + $1.69 per lb. Packages sent by air usually arrive in about 2 weeks. Seafaring packages take 6-8 weeks.
