Quotables...

As many of you know, our kids are something of a fountain when it comes to verbal hilarity! So, in honor of 2006, we thought we'd make a highlight list of sorts...

• Gracie helping Mom with chores, and she observes, "Mama, maybe we need Papa - he's SO strong, I even saw him push a CAR!"
  
  
• Gracie & Sasha playing in the other room, and she can be heard crying strangely. At my alarmed expression, Misha says, "It's okay, Mom - she's just pretending to be a Star Wars baby."
  
  
• Allowances are a new item in our family system. The kids receive 1 grivna per year of age, so Gracie gets 4 grivnas each week. On the first week of payment, she received a 2-grivna note, and two 1-grivna notes. She looked a little confused and then approached Daddy. "Um, Papa... thank you for my allowances, but I have three monies, and... well... three just isn't very four to me."
  
  
• Unbeknownst to me, Misha had enjoyed browsing through a new kids' Bible study book, when he asked me out of the blue, "Mom - is the real name for sin 'amartia'?" I was completely lost until Kevin overheard and we realized that, yes - this is the greek word for sin! Misha had picked that morsel out of the book!! Needless to say, we ordered the book right away!
  
  
• Having had a rough morning, and received a spanking, Sasha can be heard grumbling in his room. Pressing my ear to the door, I hear him say, "Nobody spanks me! Don't they know, I'm a SUPER HERO!!!"
